1. ALLOCATING A DATASET
Manuever to the Data Set Utility menu screen by typing in "3.2" on your option line.
Type in a captial "A" in your option line and DO NOT press CTRL yet.
Tab down to Project underneath "ISPF Library" and type in YOUR userID
Type in your desired GROUP name and TYPE name respectively
EXAMPLE:
Project . . .
KC03K02
Group . . .
MYPROG
Type . . . .
COBOL
Press CTRL and it will bring you to the "Allocate New Data Set" screen.
PARTITIONED DATASET: to create this enter PDS next to "Data set name type"
SEQUENTIAL: Leave "Data set name type" blank and set "Directory Blocks" to 0.

Enter "3.4" in your option line.
Type in your USERID and press CTRL
